On the 30th of September 2021, the EBN and the EU through the DG INTPA of the EC and the EU delegations in Ethiopia and Somalia, organised the online event ‘Building Bridges between Ethiopia and Somalia’, to present the EU programme ‘Support to Entrepreneurship and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) creation (Business incubators)’ financed under the 11th European Development Fund (EDF).

During the event, representatives of the DG INTPA of the EC, the EU Delegations in Ethiopia and Somalia, as well as the EBN Secretariat, presented the opportunities that these initiatives funded by the EU will provide for them in terms of support and exchange of good practices to more than 50 attendees from Ethiopian and Somalian incubators, accelerators, chambers of commerce and industry, universities and entrepreneurship centres.

In addition, different experts involved in initiatives putting together joint projects between Ethiopia and Somalia shared with the audience the opportunities provided by these joint efforts in the fields of infrastructures, business incubation or university cooperation, among others.
